FIDA builds the leadership of Farmers, Children and Women in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management for Agro Economics Development and Gender Equality
The realization that the needs of the rural population in district Vehari were not being adequately researched motivated the community activists to establish the Farmers Integrated Development Association (FIDA) for the development of small farmers, agricultural and economic needs of rural communities. FIDA, for change in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management, is a small farmer-le d Pakistan-based not-for-profit Organization of Farmers, Children and Women professionals that provides expertise to assist agriculture and natural resource management organizations’ mainstream gender into their programs, projects and internal structures.
Founded in 2006, FIDA was registered in 2007 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. FIDA consists of 67 committed and motivated trained activists/trainers (Male & Female) through Farmers Training of Facilitators (FToF), Farmer Field School (FFS), Women Open School (WOS) and Children Ecological Club (CEC) approaches.
